Dear DIY Experts:

I have Bosch 11224vsr rotary hammer drill and I have to drill 3/4"diamx6"deep holes into concrete floor. How can I make sure the hole comes out at the right angle (90deg) to the floor?
I see some drill guides on the internet, but I am not sure they will work with my drill. Alternatively I could not find a flat surface on the drill to strap a level to it.

Thanks
Ivan

Set a pair of speed squares on the floor beside the hole and perpendicular to each other. Use them to visually align the drill as it drills the first inch or so.

I should have mentioned that I have access to machine shop with stationary drill presses. I could drill straight 3/4" holes in a stack of wooden boards to serve as a guide for the drill bit. Is this a plausible idea?

What are you anchoring? Or, specifically, are you going to measure, mark, and drill the holes, set the anchors, then set something over them, or are you drilling through something like a plate or whatever to anchor it to the floor? If the former, then you may need to be closer, but, if the latter, eyeballing it should be close enough.

I am drilling these holes for anchoring vertical rebar. After the rebar rods are anchored (with anchoring epoxy), I am going to stack a column of 16x8x8 CMUs units over them (9 blocks high) and pour grout in the cavities.
Ayuh,.... In that case, get close to yer marks, 'n drill away,....

Within' an inch oughta be plenty close enough,.....

The rebar can be bent easily after the epoxy sets up,....
