Depending on the size of your wallet.

That thing has seen many make-do changes in it's life.

A demo and replacement with something more to your taste is in order.

What is the patio cover made from?

Before demoing locate all utilities, to prevent any damage to them.

And go wild , because you are only going to get one chance to get it right.

I think that I would extend the patio out to the block fence, and put up stone veneering on that block, ( I hate block walls), leave the plantings in place if they are good, install stone columns as a supporting structure for a louvered pergola patio cover, get that patched concrete replaced with a solid slab, or pavers.

Up grade the pool fence rails to a nicer design, or remove them if you have no need for the security factor.

Add some plants in BIG pots as accents.

Regardless of personal opinion of "need"' you need to double check the law in your area about pool fences. They are mandated ( or an equivalent safety feature) in many areas.

You also need to double check with your homeowners Insurance before removing it. Many companies won't insure without it. Others will raise your rates.

That is a lot of demo in likely a confined area and near a pool.
I'd check into some kind of rubberized topping that gets glued down. Saw it on a Mike Holm's episode; looked pretty nice when done. No idea of cost or how it holds up. But tearing what you have up and prepping for a new pour is not fast, easy, nor cheap.
