I tied the old wiring of my home to new romex and I have something grounding out. The old wiring has a black and white wire but no ground and some where I am having a ground problem because everytime I flip he light switch it grounds out and flips the breaker. What the heck is going on?

Is the old wiring cloth covered? Is it possible that you have the black / white pair reversed? I used to live in an older house that had wiring so worn or aged it was hard to determine which of the two wires was white.
Are you sure the switch is connecting the black pair of wires? The whites should be connected all the way to the fixture, the blacks are switched.

The only thing I will say is that it is a considerable violation and safety issue to extend old ungrounded branch circuits.
I would run a new home run to where you start this circuit extension.

Make sure the new black and white are not tied to each other at the switch or on the switch. Your black coming in on the new romex is hot, then you should have a black and white going to the light. The whites tie together and the 2 blacks are on the switch sperate screws of course. Check your light fixture and make sure you dont have the 2 wires tied together somehow.
