I'm wanting pave an asphalt ramp up to my concrete slab on my garage. Its been suggested to use something called a rat tail to ensure the aphalt doesn't separate from the slab. I can't find such a thing as a (rat tail) and would like suggestion on either finding these devices or an alternative to ensure the ramp doesn't separate from the concrete slab over time. Thx.

Something like this should work. There are many product variations. This product is nice because you can handle it without heating.

I do not know the term but believe a rattail must be the kind of packing material that is sometimes placed between slabs. Concrete and/or asphalt is then finished to it?
