I'm a new homeowner trying to get familiar with our electrical panel situation. It looks to me like we have 2 panels, and one of them is an I-T-E Pushmatic load center. However, it has a sticker on the front cover that says "Danger: Hazardous voltage will cause severe shock or burn. Turn off and lock out power feeding this panel before removing this cover."
Obviously, I don't want to remove this cover, but I believe that there are some outlets in our house fed by this panel that need their covers replaced, and I'd like to turn the power off to them before doing so.
Do I need an electrician just to turn off these breakers?
