I have a dry vent that is going to be connected after my shower. The remaining bathroom fixtures are downstream so this intersection is the beginning of a wet vent. The vanity also has a dry vent that connects between the two sinks.
The old plumbing (before I tore it out) used a sanitary tee on its back for this purpose. Since I was informed (on this forum) that sanitary tees should only be used in the vertical position, I wondered if my old plumbing was done incorrectly. So I read a bunch of forums and found this subject is hotly debated.
Anyhoo, I prefer to play it safe and not use a sanitary tee on its back...so is the one pictured below appropriate for this purpose (horizontal drain pipe with a vertical dry vent)?
