Pictures below:
Picture A shows: old set up wheres the secondary line going to? Its not it was plugged up with red plug tab.

Picture B shows: what I added was a Rectorseal 83114 2 EZ 113B Trap Kit I was going to use on something else.
I DID NOT PUT ON THE PRIME LINE SEE ARROW because the third picture shows the large degree of SLOPE to the outside. Drains. I suppuse the building acts as a P trap. Since it travels 25 ft ( 10 ft off the drain pan to a 90 degrees straight down the side of house to outside)

Any issues with it? Again I didnt have a regular HVAC P trap had the over kill Rectorseal laying around.

Lastly on the LARGE PAN underNEATH the air handler there is a PVC pipe that goes down through garage ceiling so IF ever filled up the over flow would start pouring water into garage floor not house.

Thanks.

Don't forget to fill that secondary drain's trap this spring. Also, put a teaspoon of cooking oil in both sides of it, so it doesn't dry out, and cause over flow issues. By allowing air to be pulled in, and pull water out of the drain pan.

I did Prime it with water- when I took the pictures 11-30-15.
Along with my yearly cleaning.

Am I understanding- put teaspoon of cooking oil in with the water-that your priming the P-trap.
Interesting good tip!!

* The "prime" or "main" or "first" drain line DOES NOT have a P trap I think I will leave one out based on the setup described in the post- unless someone can give me a logic answer to add one on the prime/mai/first. ( there is no local code for a P trap for this type of split setup)
** I was surprised that the secondary would be useless with out an actual piped system to the drain pain. Apparently P traping condensation lines is an undervalued or overlooked area of HVAC.
