Hello,

I've a boiler that was kicking on and off inexplicably. Had it looked at, and we think the problem is a loose connection from a wire to the circuit board. Can I solder this, or should i just crush it on there with some pliers?

Any insight would be appreciated, thank you.

was it originally soldered? and if you can post a picture would be most helpful for a better response..

No it was not soldered, i'll post a picture as soon as I can.

I would not put heat on a circuit board if it wasnt soldered before, if you pull the connector off were it slides on and use needle nose pliers and gently squeeze down the connector where it grabs the tab on the board, that should tighten up the connection..
