Are there light bulbs that fit into recessed lighting cans that do not give of much or any heat. They also need to be able to be dimmed. I have 65 watt reveal floods in there right now but the heat produced heats up the room so much it almost becomes too hot.

There are dimmable CFL bulbs, but be warned they do not dim as much as incandescent bulbs, and the operation is different. You should always turn them on at full power then dim. If I remember correctly they only dim about 20% not the full range of an incandescent bulb.

All light bulbs give off a least a small amount of heat. But the light bulb that gives off the least amount of heat and is still dimmable would be a LED. They just came out with a verson for recess lights about six months ago. Not too popular yet but I have used them many times and give off a great amount of light :thumbsup:.
