I guess the drain pipe is not under pressure but better to ask pros here to make sure ...

I got this PVC glue for conduit solvent cement (do not use for pressure pipe) for conduit project and wonder if I should get the purple primer/cement combo instead so I can use on both water pipe and conduit down the road as I only have a dozen of conduit joints to glue atm.

The cement for conduit will NOT work for PVC pipe. It's not expensive; use the right stuff.
