We’re planning on painting our basement block walls. I called sherwin and they said I can use Loxon. When I did a little research, it seems like it’s marketed to be used for exterior only ? Idk but was wondering if any of you had any experience with using in on the interior of a basement wall. Thanks in advance

I'm not a painter, but are you wanting to apply it as a water proofing? If so, putting it on the outside is the only way to get positive results. Inside water proofing is iffy

If the block are unpainted, I'd first coat them with Drylok. Bare block needs drylok or block fill to fill the pores in the block so you get a nice looking paint job. It also prevents a thinner paint from sucking too far into the block making it harder to get a nice finish.

I have limited experience with the Loxon line of masonry coatings but it should be fine for your use.
