im getting ready to slap some drywall on my attic, however the space i have to get the drywall up is to narrow for a 4x8 sheet so i was thinking of cutting in half. the question i have is, is it better and/or easier to mud the seams vertically or horizontally?

thanks

Just my opinion but I don't think the cut and fold plan will stand the test of time. Just by doing it you are creating a very weak joint with just the paper on the front. Then add a water based primer and paint which will weaken it even farther. Will probably last for a while though. And I could be wrong.
