ironing center

My wife just came up with an ironing center - you know, the fold down ironing board with a light and receptacle on a timer so you can leave the iron plugged in and the power will shut off in x minutes. This is a good time for it because the sheetrock hasn't yet been installed on this part of our remodel.
My question: can I wire this to a 20A outlet directly below it. I'd like to. The ironing center says 15A on the plate. This part of the project hasn't been inspected yet ( next week, hopefully), and I don't want to do anything that would be a violation.

Thanks.

Where is it located?
Shouldn't be a problem to wire it the the receptacle below.
Thanks for the prompt reply and helpful advice JBfan, I was just concerned about connecting a 15A appliance to a 20A circuit.
Thanks again.
