Anything that uses 30A or less. Take a look at your car's fuse box. There is a fuse in there for the cigarette lighter. Usually you can get away with a 500W inverter through the lighter socket. Just remember to run the engine. Those little inverters are not soft start so they try to pull the maximum amperage from the battery ALL THE TIME.

Depends on what the plugs rated and what fuse feeds its. First of all, never replace a fuse with a larger one, unless you want your car to start on fire.

I use quite a few inverters - I use the Tripplite units. The model PV375 is the largest capacity they provide for plug in use. Larger units are direct wire.
