Hi everyone.

I have my garage interior finished with dry wall, with one coat of base paint. Awful condition, with lots of blemishes and quite dirty. I want to cover walls with something water resistant so that I can both wash my car in the garage and wash the walls with water hose. Saw a few youtube videos about stucco. Can I cover the drywall directly with the stucco or some kind of similar compound to make it water resistant and durable, exterior grade-like finish? How easy is it? I am not a pro, but willing to try myself. Any details/links to specific material would be very helpful. I would like a single layer less than 1/4" thickness. White is great. Do I need a mesh?

Thanks a lot.
