I live in condo with a living/dining room floor plan. I currently have the back wall as my accent wall (nothing fancy just darker). The opposite wall which is shorter is my TV wall. I was thinking of adding a electric fireplace below the TV by bringing that part of the wall out and tiling it. By doing this I will kind of have 2 accent walls. Is this an interior design no no?

A wall with a darker color shift should not 'fight' with your new fireplace wall--

And if it does,just plan on a repaint job---this is not a lot more work than changing your shirt if it doesn't go well with your new pants.
