I have seen a paint advertised that says it's an insulation paint - it keeps the heat from escaping.

I have a foyer that is extremely cold. I am in the process of replacing a door which may be adding to the problem - but the walls are very cold.
on side is the garage side - and I'm thinking of putting some insulation on that side of the wall --- but the outside wall is very cold as well. SHort of removing the drywall to see what's under it I was thinking of using this paint.
Has anyone ever heard of it.

Thank you.

We discussed it a while back. The general concensus was that there is no way paint can insulate worth a hoot. It may seal a crack or too but that's abotu it.

This treatment used what is called "therma-cells" These white powdered additive for paints is used as a heat reflecting property. So it helps keep a building cooler by reflecting direct sunlight but will do nothing for a cold wall.
