Should've posted here originally instead of the building forum...
We had a leak in above our laundry room, which has been fixed, but we needed to pull down some drywall on the ceiling. Now that it's getting humid, the HVAC ducts are starting to get condensation and dripping. Don't know much about drywall, so for now I was just going to put up plastic sheeting to keep the air spaces separate. Does this make sense? Have some 6 mil plastic and some staples I was going to use.
Should I try and insulate any ducts I can see before putting up the plastic? It would only be a portion since I only pulled down about a sheet or 2 of drywall.
This is between the first and second floor so it's all conditioned space here.
Thanks!
