We live in south Florida. We have just installed kraft faced fiberglass batts installed in attic rafters & wals. There is no roof venting (tile roof). AC air handler is in the attic, and we use the space for storage, so cooing the space is a plus. Electric bills have low despite no previous attic insulation. Question: should we insulate the (to be plywooded) attic floor as well? Segregate it from the house space? It does not have to be as cool as the actual living space. 2nd Question: should we cover the rafter and wall insulation? If so with what? Something easy/simple/cheap would be best. Thanks.
