How would you guys insulate this laundry and bathroom area?

Do I need a vapor barrier here?







In the family room I'm going to fluff and add more insulation where needed and then install a vapor barrier. We have added new windows and doors.



Any other suggestions?

I didn't do a vapor barrier in my basement. Foam board, studs, rolled insulation and 1/2" drywall. I've been told vapor barriers CAN inhibit mold, too each their own.

Where is the home? You will need to follow code unless you can otherwise show the inspector what you are doing to control moisture migration.

Foam board is a proven and effective insulator here.

Given that the walls are up, SPF is certainly and option as well.

Both (if you select properly) will provide the vapor retarder and insulation layer in one fell swoop.
