I'm installing a shower. I'm installing it where a tub use to be. The concrete floor was flat so I installed a sloped floor with Sand Mix and created a ¼" per foot slope. I then installed a liner. Now my first issue is, I installed the Hardy Back and now in one corner, the Hardy Back is not flush to the wall due to the fold of the liner in the corner. So now do I need to float the entire corner up to the ceiling to correct it or is there a trick I'm missing or did I do something wrong?

First post a picture of what you have now.
Second, did you change the drain to 2". A shower needs a 2" drain.

You should have tucked the fold into the open stud bay----what did you do?

"joecaption"… took a few pics… as soon as my iCloud decides to put them in my photo stream on my computer, I'll post. As for the drain, luckily they had reduced from 2" to 1-½" for the tub, so yes I was able to make it 2" with p-trap.

"oh'mike"… I had king studs in the corner so I just folded against them. I didn't think of that. Maybe I'll take that piece off and try and re-fold it in between the studs. But now thinking… not sure I could do that and make it across a couple of studs to get to the open bay with out screwing up the corner of the floor.

Hate to make ya do it but if you want a flat wall you'll have to. Pull the backer board down around the area that of concerd. Using a sawzall, hand saw, hiring a local beaver or your teeth, notch out the stud just enough to be able to tuck the liner against. I'm assuming the stud is not load bearing but you have to be the judge of that. I'm a kitchen/bath contractor and encounter this all the time. That's how I usually do it when I encounter what you have.
