How do I install full height pantry/utility cabinets (96"). The toe boards will be delivered unattached. I have installed cabinets before but not at 96"

Most 'full height' cabinets have a separate toe kick/and base---if they don't, you will not be able to stand them up---as the diagonal measurement (corner to corner) will be taller than the cieling---

I did run unto a custom cabinet that was full height----so I cut the base off and built a new one----

As I said the toe board will be delivered unattached. My question is do I attach the cabinet to the wall or build a support platform then slide the toe board underneath or set the toe board and slide the cabinet on top.

Yep--wait till it comes to see how it is built.

If you use a loose base---that is placed first---then the upright cabinet can be lifted and slide on top of the base.

You may have to adjust the height of the box slightly.

Level the base in both directions, then usually with a helping hand, lift the pantry cabinet straight up and slide it onto the base, then fasten to wall. They ship them like that so it makes it easier to stand the tall unit up.
