Hello everyone.
I am looking for some help in installing some pendant lights in my bedroom. It is a high rise condominium building with no access to to the floor above. I want to install two lights on either side of my bed as indicated by A and B in the picture. There are two outlets next to the bed. The outlet on the left (1) is connected to a switch on the opposite wall. The building has metal studs. The ceiling is dropped where I would like to install the lights. What would be the best way to accomplish this? Right now I am thinking to run wire from outlet 1 to the light A and then from there to B, but I don't know what to expect when I make a hole in the ceiling and how complicated running wire would be.
Thank you for your help.

even a professional would have a hard time fishing this without cutting some holes that would need to be patched up,

do you want the lights connected to the switch? or constant power?
I would like them to be connected to the switch. I know that some holes would need to be made. The wall is going to be wall papered, so making holes there is not a worry.

I would cut a 4 by 4 hole in the top of the wall above receptacle 1, you might have to cut intermediate holes if there is fire blocking. from that hole you should be able to drill thru the top plate to get into the bulkhead. There may be ductwork or other mechanicals in the bulkhead.

Since this is a condo you may not be able to do your own electrical work.

Good point. I will ask the the condo association before doing anything.
