I'm in the middle of installing a basement bathroom and I'm trying to install a ceiling vent. My fan has a 3" outlet but all I can find are 4" vent caps. Am I suppsoed to drill a 4" hole in the side of my house and then get a 4" to 3" reducer?
Any thoughts.

Yes, thats what you do. Put the 4-3" reducer at the fan.
