I'm installing a shower in my basement and just wanted to make sure it was ok to tie into the same drain the sink uses. It's also used as a wet vent for the toilet and sink too. its a 2" pipe under the cement and I'll be installing a 2" drain from the shower to this with a Y-pipe.
The shower is within 5 feet of this drain/wet vent so I won't have to add a vent to the shower directly correct?.

As long as it's two inch and your less then 8 foot from your tie in.
