installing 200 x 63 (mm) lvl beams

:jester:Hi i am having to re structure my roof. It was a flat roof and i am now converting to the traditional gable type with properly engineered trusses.
The plans call for 200 x 63 mm lvl to be installed around the perimeter.Thus tying the roof structure. my question is which method would be best for mounting beams to the wall framing top to avoid twist. I have had one builder tell me to use hoop ties ? i think a metal U shape that goes over and down each side is this o.k. not sure what spacing .Would appreciate any help
