Hello,
I installed a single pole slide with switch dimmer today in a room that has one light switch that controls four canned ceiling lights. After installation, three of the four lights dim, the fourth stays on at full power or off, depending on the switch. When the slide is dimmed all the way down, the fourth bulb remains on. What could cause this? And how to fix it?

Have you checked the wiring? And, how many watts is the dimmer rated for? You may have exceeded the total wattage for that particular dimmer.

Different kinds of lights may behave differently on a dimmer. Are all four lights the same? Is the fourth light intended for use with a dimmer (if not incandescent)?

Note that the dimmer output voltage at any slider position may vary depending on the load. So the fourth light may behave differently if you unscrewed the lamps from the first three fixtures.
