I've been without a light in my room for quite a few years now. Yesterday I decided to go out and get a new fan/light. I installed it today and the fan works perfectly, but teh light does not. It won't turn on and it was the biggest reason I got a new fan/light. Do you guys have any suggestions on what could be the problem?

Did you pull the chain, and put in new bulbs.

I had a lady wait a month for me to make it over and fix her light on the fan.
The firat thing I did was pull the chain and the light worked, so it happens!

Yeah, I connected teh white/white and blue/blue wires and pulled the cord a few times. I even unplugged the light module and re-installed it to make sure and it still didn't work.

I feel stupid now because I should have mentioned this in my first post. But the fan/light we had before was also having problems with the light and that was why I got this new one. I thought it had to do with the fan but now it seems unlikely. I don't understand how the fan would work, but not the light though.

Haven't tried that, but would it be likely that all 3 bulbs would be broken? The dude at home depot said it could be a faulty light fixture and said that we should think about returning/getting a new fan.

May think about getting new lights if we go back and get another fan.
