I would do lots of reading and research online before doing anything. Once you come up with a plan it is not that difficult although it is hard work digging and putting everything in the ground. How much area are you doing? The first thing you have to do is take a pressure and gallons per minute (gpm) reading of your water service to see how many heads you can run on each zone. Buy a pressure gauge and do a test from one of your outside spigots to get a psi reading, then you can figure out the gpm's doing a simple test with a 5 gallon bucket and a stop watch.
