installing strand bamboo in two adjoining rooms separated by 5' archway.
both rooms are almost square 12.5 x 13 and 12.5 x 14.
i am thinking that the floor would look better running the full length of both rooms running east/west. onlly thing is struts run same way 16 OC and the floor with 3/4 sub does have some bounce to it due to struts.

i have laminate in kitchen running N/S which joins one of the rooms.

I'm also thinking there is no way i should run this floor parallel to the struts regardless of what would look best.. would that be the consenus... thanks

Yes it is recommended that the flooring be installed perpendicular to the floor joists. You can always refer to the manufacturers recommendations as well.

Good luck with your project
