Information on old heater

I just bought it today ,I really like old things, sorry I can't get a photo to you. We cook in the house with a 1932 tapan range.

Is that one of those where you drop a match down the hole in the front to light the oven? I told a story about my older brother with his Elvis haircut, and DA that had my family rolling on the floor clutching their guts during the Christmas vacation.

I tried to tell him that the correct sequence was light the match, turn on the gas, drop the match down the hole. He was one of those guys that you cant tell anything. He said "shut up, punk" and proceeded to turn on the gas, then light the match....................................

Same thing happened to my brother inlaw, funny part was the same day he and his brother were out playing in the yard with golf clubs, his brother went to take a swing and Bobby got hit in the lips with the club on the back swing.

Using Chrome, I was able to right-click and select "view in new tab" to see the pictures.

That's an old space heater. Have no idea of the manufacturer, and there's really no way what the BTU rating is. If I had to guess, given the size of it, I'd say around 35,000 or so, but that could be waaaaay off (given that we're looking at pictures on the internet).

Your best bet would be to drive it over to one of the older HVAC companies in town and ask them. They may have someone there who has worked on one like that in the past.

Find the size of orifice/orifices it has and see what BTU that size is rated at, and then multiply by the number of burners it has.

Hope your house is drafty. Cause that thing will need a lot of air from your house to burn. Is there a chimney near whee you are going to install it.

It will be vented , I'll see if I can find the orifice. on it
