I replaced the inducer motor in my goodman gas furnace. On the bad motor I took out the black wire was not hooked up to anything so on the new replacement unit I did not plug it into anything. Question is is the black wire needed to be plugged in and if so where does it plug in? also what is it for?
Thanks for any help you can render in advance........

beenthere,
thanks for responding. actually the unit comes on , heat runs good. issue I am having is tstat does not seem to control the unit now. I did not see another loose wire. this wire was not connected to anything on the original inducer install for some reason. could it have something to do with the tstat operation?
I think so but can't be sure don't do alot of goodman...ben sr
