i have a york furnace, recently i changed the inducer motor with the same type it had before. The new motor casing and shaft end gets hot while the furnace is running (not easy to touch). coluld any one help why its happening.

inducer motor do run hot ,check the amp draw on it

Because it is directly in the combustion gas stream

most people cannot go grab a flue pipe and be happy.
