I'm a new member

I'm a retired electrical engneer .
I've done boiler tending (in the Navy) woodworking, total bathroom remodels, repaired automotive and motorcycle engines, reroofed a couple of my homes so as you can see I'll try my hand at just about anything except doing much writing because I'm not that good with spelling. I've even learned to fly an single engine, fix gear, land airplane just before I turned 50 years old.
I'm about to have a roof replaced on my home and would like some feed back on the verious type shingles. I'm going with a 30, 40, or 50 year AR shingle form Tamko or Atlas. Anyone out there who has any good or bad things to say about these two manufactures products and or warrantys. I'd like some feed back.
By the way I'm located in Southwest Louisiana if that will help on this topic.
