There are a few inches of grout missing between some of my tiles. This wall of the shower gets a lot more water due to the spout being on it and water deflecting onto the wall. Should I just caulk it with some shower caulk or should I remove and re-grout?
A complete bathroom reno will be in the works in the next 2 years or so so the cheapest method would be best.
Any thoughts?

Buy a small package of unsanded grout---fill in the gaps--and start saving up for that bath remodel---that 'grout failure' is actually a symptom of 'wall failure'.

White cement huh....?

Mike is right, the wall behind the tiles is probably shot. Grout does not come out unless the wall is moving/flexing etc. Grout or caulk, as long as you don't mind living with it for a short time.

Mastic....for what? White caulk will probably be much whiter than white grout. Was that grout white? Yes, it'll work.
