Is there a point of diminishing return by setting the thermostat higher than the recommended 78F? I set my 7-day to go to 82F during the hottest parts of the day through to about 11pm.
I leave mine at 75F all the time!
It seems to me, once everything in the house is the same temperature there is little difference in the cost.
I know that engineers can trot out graphs showing that that the differential is the determining factor.
However, at the end of the month, it doesn't appear to make much difference.
