Hi,

We have a refrigerator in our beach house that has an ice maker. Upon leaving the beach house, I forgot to put the bucket back underneath the ice maker. However, every time we leave the beach house, we shut off all the water. Will my fridge be filled with ice cubes when I return to the house in 3 weeks? Or will it not produce any cubes if the water has been shut off? What's weird is that the 2 days I was there, there were no ice cubes being produced either (with the water turned on). Is it safe to say that the ice maker isn't working?

Sincerely,
Paranoid

can't make ice without water.

if it wasn't making ice while you were there, check to see if the ice maker is on. Mine has a wire rack that drops when the ice level is low to turn it on, but i can snap the wire rack in the up position to turn the ice maker off completely.
