Ice maker water tube frozen solid

This has probably been covered before and if so sorry for not being able to find it but I have a Whirlpool side by side refridgerator freezer and the icemaker has quit working, looking at it for the first time I notice right off the bat that the tube that fills the icemaker with water looks to be frozen solid. Other than the obvious way of opening the freezer and letting it thaw out, is there a better away? And what would cause this line to do this? Thank's in advance for any help or advice.

Hair dryer does work to thaw the fill tube. The fill tube will most likely freeze if the water control valve has a tiny leak causing the fill tube to have a constant, but slow supply of water.
