and have one of these radiators:

How do I go about bleeding it? because its not a normal radiator and I don't know where to begin :/

It's cast iron and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to do anything differently??

when you say knocking, do you mean from the piping below the floors, that looks like a hot water radiator, they usually dont knock , but the pipes can creak if they are tight against any wooden beams...

like a banging noise when it fills with hot water.

are you sure its hot water and not a 2 pipe steam system?

It appears there's a bleeder in the top right port plug,....

air in a radiator shouldnt cause a banging sound..more like a gurgling noise...

As mentioned, just want to verify, is this a hot water or steam system? Thanks. I'm assuming it's a regular hot water system with radiators you're talking about.

Actual pictures of the radiator in question and pictures of the boiler set-up will help as well. Thanks.

Congratulations on buying a new home Martin. Is this home brand new or new to you?

If brand new, there should be some type of builders warranty on it. One of your options may be to start there. Let them fix it on their dime. Just a suggestion.
