Hi,

I'm new to the forum and am a novice at building a shower. I've done other remodeling and am adept at tiling, but I am not converting tub to shower and would appreciate any advice you can offer for someone who's new to building a shower. Which one would you advise?

Thanks for posting this question. I'm very interested in the answer to this as well.

I really like the looks of the KBRS system. Especially the ability to get a custom size for a reasonable price. But - I can't find anyone that's used it.

You are or are not converting a tub to a shower?

If you are, then the drain much be brought up to code (1 1/2" on a tub to 2" on a shower).

As for the system, I use the Kerdi Pan. I use Denshield on the walls, using Kerdi Fix between the joints and seams with FibaFuse tape.

Thank you! Yes, I am converting tub to shower and will make the adjustments to the drain.
