Hey, my ductwork is through the slab on my 1 story rancher and currently is just providing heat out of it. There is an evap coil in line with the gas furnace before the air goes into the floor ductwork. Some rooms don't have as much flow as others which is a big concern for me.
I would love to convert over to central ac and I already have the outside heat pump and an accessible run for copper and drain line...
But I'm sure the existing ductwork is probably delivering 70% airflow at best already. The home was built in 55 and as far as I know the ducts are original. I've been contemplating running everything through the attic and dropping down new ductwork in the walls.
Would this require a new furnace/blower setup?
Can the blower reverse the airflow direction?
Sorry for the longwinded rant/question?
TIA
