Well, I have an electrical question, but it doesn't seem right to jump right into that without an introduction.

Most of my DIY revolves around our house remodel and addition. It's a 1962 built rambler on the Mississippi, which just didn't have enough space. Or maybe just not enough of the RIGHT KIND of space.

The addition has added enough space for a MBR suite and new LR upstairs and a wood shop downstairs. The focus has been on moving the primary living spaces to have river views rather than looking out at the highway.

We (mostly me) have done a lot of the work ourselves. Plumbing, electrical, ethernet wiring for home network and future home controls, roofing, siding, regrading yard, building new gravel driveway, tile work, millwork. It has been a blast to learn new skills and extend existing ones, and has also been humbling in many instances.

Really looking forward to completing the house project and having more time for other things, like motorcycle riding. Street and dual sport bikes.

I may not be in the forums a lot, but I hope I can help out sometime!

Welcome!

Hmm. Any relation to Clyde Crashcup?

Maybe put your location in your signature.

AND give us some pictures of your house in the right thread.

I have a house with [expletive] additions made before I was born [too long ago] maybe I can learn. Or, teach.

Welcome!

Welcome!
Dave, you are spot on! Clyde Crashcup was a cartoon my dad really liked, and as a young lad he called me Clyde as a nickname. Of course, Clyde is too common online, so I've used the 'Crashcup' nickname in a few places online.

I definitely will try to post some pics at some time, but maybe just an overall as part of this introduction.

In progress (the original house is still there, behind the addition and the new attached garage):
