The wood exterior of this home needs replacing, but I can't figure out the best way one would get top the top. The house is very tall, on a hillside, and the porch wraps all the way around it. The first and second floor exterior is no problem. The third floor is the problem. It's way up there, especially on the sides. I thought about renting a cherry picker, but the terrain is sloped and rough and I think the porch roof would get in the way. Next, I thought about scaffolding, but I'm thinking that would require removal of the porch roof. I'm not going to tackle this myself, but I'm interested in hearing how you all would handle it.

Personally, hire someone which looks like what you intended do. Pro's have all kinds of staging and rigging to get to odd places. None of it will require removing your porch ceiling . At 60 years old , this is is just to dangerous and as much as I work out I am not as balanced as I was once.

So, what you're telling me is that it most likely will require scaffolding? It's about 25 feet from the porch roof to the top of the house.
