Hi, I am trying to install a 3 way switch but my current switch has 2 reds, 2 blacks, neutral and ground. The new switch only has 5 wires (live, 2 travelers, ground and neutral). So how would I wire this into it? Since this is a smart switch, would I combine the live and load? It may help to note there are 4 switches, I have already identified the start and end switches. The one described above is in the middle. The start and end switch only have 2 blacks and 1 red, but connected to a 3 pole switch. Pictures are below.

I follow this direction.

This 3-way light switch can be used both on 3-way and 4-way.

One way to interpret that statement is that the smart switch can be installed in a 4-way circuit, but left unsaid is that it must replace one of the 3 way switches. I don't see how it could possibly replace the 4-way switch.

I'll wait to see what they say then and post here if it helps so it will help others if they search.

I just find it odd that no one makes a true 4-way smart switch.
Every 4 way circuit will have two 3-way switches. Far more 3-way circuits exist than 4-way, so 4-way switch product volume is smaller.

Given the smaller volumes, three is no need for a smart 4-way switch when a smart 3-way can do the job.
