I noticed my door frame starting to rot, only then to see behind the aluminum trim my door sill plate wood is rotted and the OSB behind it is rotted and pill bugs are in it living. My deck is bolted to my 2nd floor though so how do I replace the wood?
sounds like you have more issues at hand, is the sill that the deck bolted on rotted as well? might want to consult a professional to inspect and see the extent of the rot and make sure it not structural problem..
There is 2600 sq/ft of garage on the main floor constructed of brick and cinder block. The 1800 sq/ft of living space is built on top of that and the deck is bolted to the framing on top of the brick. I can't see the will due to my garages 12' ceiling and gypsum board is installed on the garage ceiling.
