Here's my issue- I need to replace a fence post which is set into the concrete of my patio/driveway (the fence separates them). The fence post in question is loose in the concrete, likely due to years of wind and rain, etc. The post needs to be replaced, as it is starting to rot. As removing the concrete is not an option, I was thinking that maybe it would be possible to make a larger hole around the original one, and pour new concrete around my new post.
What I'm wondering is- if I do this, what would be the best way to drill out the existing concrete? And what do I need to do to attach new concrete to existing? Or is there a better option altogether?
Thanks
