Hello,

I need to install a portable reverse osmosis water system. This requires the threading to be available inside the faucet. I looked in there using a mirror and there were no threads, but then I realized it's the remains of the aerator...the screen fell out a couple years ago. There was a plastic tab so I nudged it, but it broke off. There is a black ring visible where the screen used to sit. I just need to get this thing out of there so I can screw in an attachment. Please help!!! Thanks!

Some faucets have inside threads for aerator, some have exterior.

I'd probably soak it for awhile with acid and while it was soaking be looking around the ranch for material to fashion a shop built extractor.

Most aerators you just grab them and turn. Do you have a hidden style with a face feature ?
