The opposite problem many people have, but I need to reduce the water pressure coming in. We are on city water, and it currently clocks in at 120 PSI. It is my understanding that over ~60 or 80 is tough on plumbing and appliances. So, any advice on, 1) the style / make & model? Would this do?, Also, 2) thoughts requisite permits? We're in Oakland, which is apparently the pinnacle of building permit madness. Anyone have knowledge of what the city's involvement should be here? Thanks!

That will work but there may already be one someplace in the line that was installed when the supply went in that the water company supplyed.
