I want to replace an old porcelain sink with a stainless steel sink. How do I measure for the replacement sink? The old sink has a stainless band around it. Do I include this in the measurement?
Thanks for any advice.

What you need to figure out is the size of the opening you have. You may have to look under the sink to really determine what you're working with. Then with the known measurements, you can shop for one that will either fit the hole, or come close. If it's close you'll have to enlarge the hole to make it fit....obviously you would not want a sink with a smaller rough opening (RO)...
