I am remodeling kitchen.
The old (original) island for example was installed and the tiles were cut to fit its shape.,
To get a level work surface before I install the new island I also must remove some quarter, half and fitted tiles which were installed around the island cutout.
The original thin set (motar) obviously is still there in these custom cut areas. Rather than chip away at these sections of thinset then reapply new motar can I reapply thinset or some other product into these trowel lines then put down the tile. ?
I have maybe 5 or 6 full tiles which need to be installed this way.
